The Mission

The Curious Node is a technology publication dedicated to exploring the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and modern computing systems. Through research articles, the site examines how emerging technologies are transforming organizations, industries, and society. The publication focuses on practical applications of artificial intelligence, including automation, analytics, cybersecurity, and educational technology.

Founder & Editor

Cy Lalumia is the Founder and Editor of The Curious Node. He is an Information Technology Director, U.S. Army veteran, and Information Technology Administration student at Abilene Christian University. His interests include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, automation, and emerging technologies. Through The Curious Node, he explores how technological innovation is transforming organizations, education, and society through research, analysis, and technical writing.

Professional Projects and Experience

• Deployed CrowdStrike Falcon endpoint protection across more than 300 endpoints within a K–12 school district.
• Led migration planning for 15 network switches, 40 wireless access points, and 3 wireless bridges from HP/Aruba infrastructure to UniFi networking solutions.
• Audited and improved Google Workspace security configurations and organizational unit policies.
• Developed Python automation scripts to automate graduating senior account management and Google Workspace provisioning workflows.

Future Academic Goals

I plan to pursue graduate studies in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence following completion of my bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Administration. My academic interests include machine learning, predictive analytics, automation, cybersecurity, and data-driven decision making. This publication serves as both a technology research resource and a portfolio documenting my continued exploration of emerging AI technologies.
